They say your morning routine sets the tone for your day. Here are 5 tips that will make your mornings even better.

1. Wake up early. 

This can be tough if you are not a morning person but if you make it a routine, it gets a lot easier over time. Waking up early gives you more time to conquer your day, and it allows you to take your time getting ready. 

2. Grab a cup of coffee and plan your day:

Use the calm of the morning to coordinate your day. Creating a mental to-do list allows you to identify your most important tasks in advance—before all the pressures of the day arrive at your doorstep.

3. Get some exercise:

People who exercise in the morning have more energy and a more positive outlook on life. This can be a run, a quick work out at your local gym, or just taking a walk around your neighborhood.

4. Eat a good breakfast: 

This can mean different things for different people but a healthy breakfast refuels your body, jump-starts your day and may even benefit your overall health. When you eat a healthy breakfast, the doors to a productive day swing wide open.  

5. Put down the phone:

When you wake up don’t reach for your phone. When you dive straight into emails, texts, and social media, you lose focus and your morning succumbs to the wants and needs of other people. It’s much healthier to take those precious first moments of the day to do something relaxing that sets a calm, positive tone for your day.
